Important COVID-19 Update

This year’s festival will look different from previous years due to COVID-19, despite relaxation of UK government rules. But at least we are ON!!!

It really will be an outdoor event in a way that we haven’t done before. This is to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of our volunteers on the day.

We hope the steps we are taking will have minimal impact and allow us all to enjoy the day as usual.

We encourage everyone attending to undertake a lateral flow test within 24 hours of the festival, if possible.

The bar will be brought towards the front of the main tent to maximise fresh air. It will also be longer (or wider depending on your point of view) to reduce queue depth and have lines painted on the grass which we would ask you respect when queuing. By doing this we are effectively holding an outdoor event and it really does make a difference in terms of COVID security.

We have co-ordinated with the police and council COVID advice team and taken their advice to manage this year’s festival in as safe a manner as possible

There will be several hand sanitising stations dotted about for your use and also behind the bar and handwashing facilities for bar staff.

The main toilets blocks will, as ever, have running water to wash your hands.

This year we have decided to seek outside catering rather than hold the BBQ so we can maintain some separation between customers and the vendor

We would encourage everybody to sign in on arrival or scan the QR code using the NHS app.

Cash is no longer king. Contactless payments are the preferred way to pay and you will be able to buy drinks tokens this way and we strongly urge you to do this. We do, however, recommend that you bring cash with you, just in case!

Please click here to see the prices for this year, along with details of how to pay when buying from the catering van.

Obviously, if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID or are self-isolating, then we ask you NOT to attend this year’s event.

We believe these measures won’t spoil your enjoyment and will hopefully assure you that we are taking your safety very seriously and we look forward to welcoming you to the 10th Millwood Cam Beer Fest. One like no other. But this year more than any other, we need the weather to help us out and stay dry as the main tent will not be available should it rain.
